John de Frayssinet is 59 years old and has flown over 500 hours in the UK. He built a Europa aircraft before embarking upon the construction of the Glasair Special. He has won the Jersey Air Rally in the 90s and has been placed in pylon racing, before becoming the organiser of European Air Races.

He is a psychotherapist and is also webmaster of the World's largest aviation website, www.pilotfriend.com. John is a keen musician and a lover of oriental cats.

He is a high left leg amputee and has found mobility increasingly difficult as the years have gone by.

Jenny Ayres is 60 years old and is now retired from a charity management position. Jenny is the other half of the aircraft building partnership and endured many sub zero moments in hangers during construction!

She obtained her pilot license  in 1997. Her greatest flying adventure was an exploration of the American South West. She has partnered John as his navigator in air rallies and races.

Jenny was involved in an RTA which resulted in permanent mobility problems and is no longer able to hold a valid pilot's medical certificate although she still maintains a passionate interest in aviation.
